I'm an experienced bassist in diverse styles: Afro-Cuban, Son, Rumba, Changui, Danzon, Salsa, Bossa Nova, Samba, Baião, Tango, Latin Jazz, Swing, Standards, Modern Jazz, Avante-Garde/Experimental, Funk and Rock. As a pianist, I'm experienced in Latin Music, Salsa, Bolero, Bossa Nova, Latin Jazz, Swing, Standards, Ragtime, Classical, and standard wedding repertoire.
I studied classical and jazz theory & piano performance with George Barth while earning my Bachelor's in computer science at Stanford. Since moving to Seattle, I've studied classical & jazz double bass performance with Doug Miller and Barry Lieberman at the University of Washington. I keep a hand in software too: website design (um, like, this one) and contract programming (a.k.a. engineering, design, architecture, whatever). I'm a native of the Boston area. Thanks for reading!
